Oslo/New York – 9 May 2022 – Xplora Technologies (‘Xplora’, ‘the Company’), Europe’s leading smartwatch company for kids, today announced that it has received an initial smartwatch order for delivery to a major US premium consumer electronics retail chain through its distributor VLC Distribution. The retailer will list the full range of Xplora smartwatches including X5P, XGo2 and XMOVE online. Today’s announcement adds to the recently announced reseller agreement with Walmart.
Xplora signed a distribution agreement with Houston, TX based VLC Distribution in April 2022, and today’s announcement is a direct result of this agreement. With VLC Distribution, Xplora intends to capitalize on VLC´s extensive existing retail relationships whilst bringing new and exciting customers to VLC in conventional brick and mortar and online retail. VLC has a state-of-the-art fulfillment center with over 70,000 square feet of warehouse space and currently inventories over 6,000 SKU’s from more than 30 brands. VLC Distribution was recently acquired by CMS Distribution, Xplora’s distribution partners across continental Europe, the Nordics and the UK.
Xplora products have been made available in the US market through Xplora web stores and Amazon and will now be listed online at Walmart in addition to today's announced US consumer electronics retailer. Xplora continues to actively pursue broader distribution in the US market through its office based out of New York City.
